My work experience at 1-Fix
For my work experience I have spent 50 hours with 1-Fix Limited who are an MSP who offer a full range of business IT services ranging from desktop and server management through to network and cybersecurity assistance.
During my time at 1-Fix, I've spent time learning and understanding what each member of the team’s role is in their day-to-day work. I worked with Jess from the marketing team who gave me an insight into what her typical day would look like working at 1-Fix. During this time, she showed me how the analytics worked when analysing the company’s social media account and individual posts, she ran me through the different software that she used to help her in creating social media content, how she schedules social media content to be posted ensuring that it will allow for the best results and how she plans and organises events for the company and everyone in the team.
I also spent time with two of the IT technicians, Grant and Callum, who helped me gain a better understanding of the work they’re doing here at 1-Fix. Both of them showed me how the ticketing system worked, how they interact with clients (whether that be on the phone or over email), and the different tasks they undertake during a typical day which ranged from simple individual customer support in fixing a laptop camera to the security of an entire company domain.
I have really enjoyed my time at 1-Fix, everybody here has been really friendly, has made me feel so welcome and apart of the team.
