1-Fix East: we’re now supporting businesses across Norfolk and the East

1-Fix East is officially open!

From today we’re supporting businesses across Norfolk and the surrounding counties, with the same team, the same standards and the same way of working that we’ve built in the Thames Valley since 2002.

It’s led by myself, Craig Atkins, and James Fowler, who is based in the region and knows it far better than anyone at our Bracknell office does. If you get in touch, James is who you’ll speak to first.

Why we’ve done it

The honest answer is that we want to grow, and we’d like to bring what we do to more businesses around the country rather than just the Thames Valley.

Meeting James is what made it possible. He’s been working with us for a while, he understands how we operate, and he’s spent enough time with businesses in the East to know where the frustrations sit.

What matters more is what sits behind the branch. 1-Fix East isn’t a franchise, a reseller or a partner arrangement. It’s the same business. The engineers who look after 1-Fix East clients are the same engineers who look after our Thames Valley clients, working to the same processes and answerable to the same standards.

So you’re not taking a chance on something new. Behind the branch is a company that’s been supporting UK businesses since 2002, is Cyber Essentials Plus certified, holds Microsoft Partner status, has been in the UK Top 50 for seven years running, was MSP of the Year in 2024, and is scored 98.9% for satisfaction by its own clients.

What we’re offering

The full service range is live from day one: helpdesk, Microsoft 365, devices, networks, servers, backup and recovery, and cybersecurity with 24x7x365 monitoring. All of it managed as one service by one accountable team, so there’s one number to ring and nobody pointing at anybody else when something goes wrong.

Alongside the day to day, the questions that rarely get proper attention. What your security exposure really looks like. What a compliance requirement in a new contract actually means in practice. Where AI and automation would earn their place, and where they wouldn’t.

That second part is the bit we care most about. Support that works reliably is the foundation, not the point.

Who it’s for

We work best with established businesses of roughly 30 to 250 users where technology matters to the operation: transport and logistics, professional services, manufacturing, and technology-dependent firms.

Usually there’s someone internal who owns IT, often alongside a full-time job of their own. We work with that person rather than around them. They keep the parts of the job worth keeping and we absorb the rest, including out-of-hours cover and the specialist work that’s hard to justify hiring for. The point is to make their job better, not to make it redundant.

And whoever we’re talking to, we explain ourselves properly. What’s happened, why it matters to the business, what we’d recommend, what happens next. You shouldn’t have to become a technology expert to make a sound technology decision, and nobody here is going to hide behind acronyms. We’re a team, not a call centre.

Say hello to James

The simplest way to find out whether we’re a fit is a discovery call. Thirty minutes, no charge, and an honest read on what we’d change. If your current provider is doing a good job, James will tell you that too.
